About TERO

TERO is two Icelandic words pushed together. Te is tea. is calm, the quiet kind that turns up once the day is finally done. Put them side by side and you have the whole idea: the cup you reach for when coffee has nothing left to give you.

It started with a problem we could not solve on the shelf. By late afternoon you want something warm in your hands, and nearly everything on offer either keeps you up half the night or tastes like a compromise you made to be sensible. We kept coming back to hibiscus. Tart and bright like a berry, deep ruby in the cup, and not a trace of caffeine in it. Good at seven in the morning. Better at eleven at night, when it is dark outside and you have no intention of going anywhere.

What is actually in the pouch

One ingredient. Dried hibiscus and roselle calyces, the deep red part of the flower, cut and packed into pyramid bags so the pieces stay whole instead of turning to dust. No flavouring, no sweetener, no added colour. That red is the flower and nothing else. Thirty bags, three grams each, one cup a day for a month.

We are fussy about the whole calyx for a reason. Ground tea goes stale quickly and steeps bitter. Whole pieces hold their colour and their tartness, and you can taste the difference in the first cup.

Three things we will not do

We will not tell you this tea treats anything. It is a herbal tea, not a medicine. Where we mention research, it is research on the hibiscus plant, and we say so plainly. Any seller who promises you more than that is one to walk away from.

We will not invent reviews. Every review on this site was written by a real person who bought and drank the same single-ingredient hibiscus tea, and where it was bought from somebody else, we say so.

We will not pretend delivery is faster than it is. We ship direct from our production partner, which takes 12 to 25 days to Iceland, tracked and free. That is the trade that keeps the price where it is, and we would rather you knew it now than found it out on day fourteen.

Ninety days to make up your mind

A tea earns its place by becoming a habit, and a habit needs a fair run. So take ninety days with it. Drink it daily, and if you are not glad you bought it, email us, send the pack back, and we refund you in full.

Who you are actually emailing

We are small, and that is the point. Write to support@trysefa.com and a person reads it and answers, usually within one business day. Ask us anything, including whether this tea is right for you at all. We would rather spend five minutes talking you out of an order than take one you end up regretting.
